Party Time

Even if I’m not feeling great or am worried about my steps, as soon as I put on my big “Z” shirt I start to feel better, more able, ready to stand at the front of the class and teach.

So I’m really looking forward to next week when I’ll be dressing up in something sparkly to welcome you all to my five year anniversary event.  There are only 10 spaces left for next Wednesday’s session so click here if you haven’t seen the invitation and please do RSVP to me on 07770 846 284 or pearl@pearlescapes.co.uk if you would like to reserve your seat. 

I thought I’d also let you know my plans for our annual Christmas party and “end of term” and New Year dates for classes (all at the bottom of the email!)

Christmas Party - Vestry Hall - 8th December 2015

This year’s Christmas party will be a little bit different - I loved the new format of having the session from 6-8:15pm with a mix of songs and games, so we’ll keep that, but we’ll also start a little bit later as some people have asked for a chance to see all the ZumbaWear I have, so I’m going to do a Christmas Bazaar (or Bizarre... as you should see some of the stuff!)  All but one pair of the trousers I ordered last week have already flown out and a lot of you have ordered them in different sizes (get back to me quickly if you want to get in on my next order which will probably be next Thursday - depending on how exhausted I am after Wednesday night!) and I may order a selection of other goodies especially for the Bizarre!

This year I’m also going to have a prize for the best outfit or costume as I love how you strut your stuff!

As usual Santa may drop by with a very small Christmas gift for you.

The ticket price will be £7 for everyone - prebooked or on the night!  (You will be able to prebook your next January class those of you who are “grandfathered” in at the old low price for prebooking classes.)

Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break and Spiritual Detox

So I had my much needed two days in Thermae Bath Spa this weekend, which was lovely, but oh so noisy (the treatments were heavenly!) but I did come away with a new found respect for just how great value my four day spa break for New Year is.

Although I thought my Bath weekend was great value, it was around £300 just for two 2 hour sessions in the spa, two treatments (one which was 50 minutes and the other 30 minutes) and one night bed and breakfast in a lovely (albeit very noisy) B&B.

The Pearl Escapes New Year Spa Break includes 3! nights B&B with a lavish breakfast buffet and dishes cooked to order, so you can either start your healthy eating for New Year with fresh fruit, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs (yes, they’re deemed healthy again!) or go end of year crazy with the bacon.

Speaking of food you also enjoy 2! excellent dinners (the restaurant here was a big factor for me in choosing this hotel and spa), three courses on the first night and, on New Year’s Eve a spectacular feast including canapes and champagne at midnight (oh yes, I had to add champagne to the first night dinner as it’s my official book launch).  This means that you can relax and not worry about finding places to eat for your whole stay - although lunches each day and dinner on your last night are not included as between the sumptuous breakfasts and dinners I thought you might prefer to order light bites in the bar or restaurant the rest of the time!

You also get use of the pool, hydrotherapy pool (one of the best in England and, I’m sorry, far, far superior to Thermae Bath Spa and most spa’s hot tubs), loungers, sauna and steam room from check-in to check-out and from 6am to 9/10pm each day, up to 45!!! hours of spa relaxation at your disposal compared to the maximum of 4 I had at Thermae Bath Spa.  (It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!)

You also get to choose a 50 minute treatment from the spa’s 5 page treatment menu (I recommend the Lava Shell Massage - one of my top ever treatments and available in too few spas in England!  It also has the benefit of being a wonderful holiday type massage with hot oils and will transport you to the beach of your choice - oh my!  I cannot wait!)

The spa also has incredible gardens which have been lovingly restored and which I plan to make the most of for our sessions.  (There are also much longer walks across the fields, this is one fantastically located spa, so don’t forget your wellies  - although if you do, take deep breath... they will actually lend you wellies here!)

And, finally, although in fact, I should have mentioned this first, you will have sessions with me every day to work on whatever you need.  The whole idea of this break is to make the most of New Year... not to drink the most champagne or eat the most duck pate, or even spend the most time in the pool, but to use your break, your relaxation time to let go of anything you want to leave behind in 2015 and focus on creating a positive vision of your future in 2016 and open the door to living your heart’s desire.
