I must admit I have been a bit prejudiced about Ryanair since my last flight with them - back from Agadir in Morocco when they forgot to put any food or drink on the plane.

But aside from that you really couldn’t complain about this flight at all - ridiculously cheap, £58 even with their surcharges (found via Kayak), although we didn’t check in any baggage (which would have added another £30 to the fare.)  And one of the advantages of their goal to make as much possible from passengers is that it’s a bit like flying in a shop - they’re always happy to make you another cup of tea (if they have some on board!)

According to their inflight magazine they are also one of the most punctual airlines, and it’s easy to believe as both of our flights arrived early.

Although it’s a bit of a slog for me to get to Stansted Airport, Zadar Airport is very well placed - there is a bus direct to the Zadar bus station, or to Zadar town centre from the airport which costs about £3 each.

Zadar Airport doesn’t have much in the way of shops though, so make sure you buy any of your souvenirs before you get there!

£58 each return flight, from Stansted to Zadar, without checked in baggage:
