Lamma Island, Hong Kong

It’s beautiful, and a lovely journey from the Central ferry terminal, but the pink dolphins is still my recommended sight for Hong Kong!

We did a very scenic walk between the two ferry points (Yung Shue Wan and Sok Kwu Wan), saw eagles, some very big spiders, had some tasty breakfast at the Green Cottage nr Yung Shue Wan, and I had a relaxing swim at the Hung Shing Ye beach (although I was a little bit worried about the pollution!)  But factor in a little bit more time than the guide books recommend for any walks - the views are so fab that you have to stop and take a lot of photos!

Also try and find out the times of the ferries - we did a round trip from Central to Yung Shue Wan, walked to Sok Kwu Wan and then ferry to Aberdeen, and bus back to Central, but it was all a bit rushed!

Don’t get me wrong, some of these are excellent, but I couldn’t, in good conscience give them a Pearl Recommendation.  Sometimes they were just beaten to the punch, or I couldn’t decide a clear winner, other times they had a lot right, but I felt they just weren’t there.  I don’t really want to give bad reviews, but anything I felt was really best avoided you’ll find in the Jellyfish section.
